Join as an Individual
By the Community, for the Community. Always.
The Parkour Earth community is made up of individuals, community-level and national parkour organisations, and we are dedicated to expanding this community. We aim to support representation in the most authentic way for each community, including working with individuals and groups from countries without national representation to help them build community-led national organisations.
This page outlines how individuals can get involved with Parkour Earth. Whether you just want to keep up to date with what’s going on, or you want to volunteer, there’s a pathway for all.
Individuals
Do you want to get involved with Parkour Earth but don’t know where to start?
Parkour Earth aims to serve the entire community and there are plenty of ways to get involved that don’t require formal accreditation. Whether you want to find information about the latest events in an area near you or you want to discuss the minutia of building vault boxes, we aim to provide a platform that works for you.
The easiest way to get started is to join our Discord server where you can meet others who share your interests and be part of the conversation.
Volunteering
Ambassadors - interested in representing us?
If you are a passionate member of the parkour community and you want to spend time making parkour more visible, more accessible, and ensuring that parkour remains autonomous, then we want you to join our team.
Parkour Earth has an Ambassador Team comprising practitioners from all over the world. Our Ambassadors speak for us and aim to be representative of the global community.
We are actively recruiting Parkour Earth Ambassadors to serve as moderators for our Discord and the voices of Parkour Earth.
If you are interested in becoming a Parkour Earth Ambassador, please apply by Emailing Luis:
Content creation etc. - interested in helping out?
We are always looking for writers, designers, social media lovers, other experts, and all sorts of things in between to join our volunteer community.
Parkour Earth is looking for members of the community that want to create something and support them to make their vision a reality. If you dream of creating something for the parkour community, we would love to hear from you.
What to Expect from Volunteering
Parkour Earth has a standardised application process and aims to support all of our volunteers from their first steps with the organisation up to a finished project.
Once you have filled out the application form, we aim to invite you to a short (30-minute) video call where we will discuss your volunteer project and goals and answer any questions you have.
After the call, we will contact your reference and decide how to proceed. If we invite you to join the team, we will organise an onboarding call with you and send you a volunteer handbook containing more information. If we choose not to bring you on, you will get an email from us explaining why we didn’t offer you a role at this time and offering you other ways to contribute and be part of the conversation.
As a volunteer, you will be asked to sign a short volunteer agreement. Volunteers are asked to keep to a fairly simple set of professional standards while working as part of Parkour Earth. You will also have access to a line manager, who will be your main point of contact as well as many other ways to get to know the other volunteers. We will do our best to support you throughout your project.
Once your project is finished, or you decide to finish working with us, we will arrange an exit interview (30-minute video call) to learn about your experience working with us and confirm how we plan to proceed with your project.
