As set out in our Memorandum & Articles of Association - Schedule 2;
5.5. Independent Director 1 (Belinda Wheaton) - must retire and be eligible for re-appointment at the 2019 AGM
5.6. Independent Director 2 (Stuart McInnes) - must retire and be eligible for re-appointment at the 2020 AGM
5.7. The Chief Executive (Eugene Minogue) - must be re-nominated for appointment at the 2019 AGM
Dr. Belinda Wheaton, Independent Director
Belinda is Associate Professor of Sport and Leisure Studies at the University of Waikato, NZ. Belinda is best known internationally for her extensive research on the politics of identity in action/lifestyle sport. Belinda was appointed to the Transitional Board of Parkour Earth in July 2017, with an initial term up to the 2019 AGM, as per the Schedule 2 of our Memorandum & Articles of Association.
Belinda has chosen not to be stand for re-appointment with Parkour Earth due to ongoing professional commitments.
Stuart McInness MBE, Independent Chair
Stuart has been closely involved in the sports industry for more than a decade and has sat on more than 100 arbitrations at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) since being appointed in 2004. Stuart was appointed to the Transitional Board of Parkour Earth in July 2017, with an initial term up to the 2020 AGM, as per the Schedule 2 of our Memorandum & Articles of Association.
Stuart has chosen to retire at the 2019 AGM, unfortunately due to an ongoing health condition.
Eugene Minogue, CEO
Eugene has over twenty years of experience in Sports Development & Sport Policy. Eugene’s pioneering approach has helped establish parkour as a hugely beneficial and accessible activity across the UK, and he is a founding member of Parkour UK. Eugene was appointed as Transitional CEO of Parkour Earth in July 2017, with an initial term up to the 2019 AGM, as per the Schedule 2 of our Memorandum & Articles of Association.
Eugene has chosen not to stand for re-appointment with Parkour Earth due to ongoing professional commitments.
At the meeting of the Board on the 7th June 2019, the Board resolved that the positions of Independent Chair/Directors will be open for applications as part of the 2019 AGM.
Damien Puddle
Additionally, the Board resolved that Damien Puddle, would resign from his role as Elected Director as of 2019 AGM to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of Parkour Earth.
